The Annual Riten Industries Toy Drive, benefitting The Dayton Children’s Hospital has just wrapped up its third year. With 226 toys and over $350 in cash donations, this has been their most successful year to date. The drive was bolstered with support from the Ohio manufacturing community including the Earle M Jorgenson Company, Herron Financial Group, Remington Steel, and Vallen Distribution.

Addition support was also provided from local families and the employees of the Fayette Co ODOT office. The drive began in 2015 after the son of Riten employee was hospitalized near the holidays. After seeing the difference Child Life made in the care of his son, the Riten family banded together to start their first toy drive.

As the toy drive continues to grow the bulk of the donations still come from the dedicated and caring men and women of Riten Industries. The donations will be distributed throughout the year to children hospitalized on birthdays, holidays, and as gifts for those completing extended treatment stays.

This year’s drive ran from November 20 to December 29, with toys delivered the Dayton Children’s Hospital on January 3, 2018.
